Whale Watch Catamaran
When you visit Cabo San Lucas, come face to face with whales by taking this exciting trip! Humpback whales and gray whales feed near Alaska and Russia and other areas in the northern Pacific Ocean during the summer months, but then they make their way to Cabo San Lucas for the winter season.
The humpbacks begin their slow migration south in January and continue until they reach the waters surrounding western Mexico and the Hawaiian Islands. The gray whales travel south down the western coast of Northern America with Baja California as their main destination. After spending the summer months feeding, the whales then travel to warmer waters to breed, birth and nurse their calves before heading back north in March.
While in Cabo San Lucas, you will have the opportunity to cruise through the waters from mid-morning to the afternoon, when the whales are most active and the sightings will be most frequent. We recommend that you enhance your whale watching experience by bringing along a camera to capture these unforgettable moments, or a pair of binoculars if you want to get an even closer view of the whales in action.
You will travel through the beautiful waters of Cabo San Lucas on a special catamaran in search of the whales. You will be able to see more aquatic life than just whales; you will be able to watch dolphins, tropical fish, marlins, and even hammerhead sharks while learning more about whales and these other animals from our naturalist onboard your catamaran.
